Registrations now open

ACEM invites emergency medicine professionals from across Australia, Aotearoa New Zealand and beyond to register to attend the ACEM Annual Scientific Meeting 2026 (ASM 26). Registrations are now open, with a range of attendance options available to support participation across diverse professional and personal circumstances.

Coast to Coast – Care and Connect

ASM 26 will be guided by the theme Care and Connect, exploring the central importance of expert emergency care knowledge and its integration within connected systems of care. From spartan desert communities to state‑of‑the‑art metropolitan trauma centres, the theme reflects how high‑quality emergency care is delivered across vast geographies while remaining deeply connected to the communities we serve.

The program will examine the delivery of equitable, evidence‑based emergency care in increasingly complex environments, with a strong focus on improving patient and community outcomes. Sessions will span topics including extremes of age (paediatric, adolescent and ageing populations), complex psychosocial trauma, mental health, cultural and social determinants of health, communication, and human factors. A strong emphasis on regional, rural and remote practice will highlight innovation, adaptability and collaboration in settings where resources and access may be limited.

ASM 26 also provides space for reflection and connection. Delegates will hear from speakers sharing real‑world experiences of working across different regions, building and sustaining teams, and navigating the practical realities of self‑care in the demanding emergency medicine environment.

Attending ASM 26 is a valuable opportunity to learn, connect with colleagues, and engage with the shared challenges and opportunities shaping the future of emergency care.

Register now to attend ASM 26 and be part of the conversation as we care, connect and shape the future of emergency medicine.
