Kiran is currently a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Specialist (FACEM, PEM) working in the Children’s ED of Starship Hospital Auckland, New Zealand. He works some shifts in other mixed metropolitan EDs in Auckland. He is currently the Director of Paediatric Emergency Medicine Training at Starship ED. He is also a member of various education and training organisations/committees within the wider Auckland region and ACEM. His interest lies in medical simulation, junior doctor workforce development, teaching and medical administration. Outside of work, he enjoys walks, getting out to explore the NZ outdoors and travelling to remote/off the beaten track regions of the world to tramp and hike.
