Leesa Equid

Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician, Surf Lifesaving Western Australia Honorary Medical Officer, Fiona Stanley Hospital

Dr Leesa Equid is an Emergency Medicine Specialist and DDU holder at Fiona Stanley Hospital and Joondalup Health Campus. Her interests include resuscitation, trauma, clinical ultrasound, education and clinical governance. She formerly worked for RFDS and the WACHS Acute Patient Transport Service. Beyond the ED, she is Honorary Medical Advisor and Director of Surf Life Saving WA, chairs its Clinical Governance Committee, represents Surf Life Saving on the Australian Resuscitation Council WA Branch, and represents Australia on the International Life Saving Medical Committee. Leesa developed and led national implementation of Lifesaving CPR, retraining 45,000 surf lifesavers across Australia in resuscitation.
