Session title
Do we need to re-think current practice for managing acute pain in the ED?
Synopsis
Join us for a dynamic debate where opposing clinical perspectives are explored around a critical question: is current practice enough – or is time to rethink our approach to acute pain management in the emergency department (ED)?
With increasing demands on EDs, clinicians are often required to balance timely pain management with competing clinical and resource constraints.
Through sharing of real-world experiences and evidence-based discussion, this session will explore how ED teams evaluate available options for managing acute trauma and procedural pain, and the implications these decisions may have for patients and the delivery of care within the department. Expect a lively exchange, practical insights, and the opportunity to reflect on your own clinical practice.
