Overview
This practical, case-based workshop focuses on building confidence and capability in managing common and high-stress paediatric presentations in the ED. Delivered in collaboration with the ACEM PEM Network and WA PEM Network, the session combines small group discussions and hands-on skills stations to explore challenging ventilation and resuscitation scenarios. Participants will rotate through interactive stations covering topics such as the febrile child, the tachypnoeic child, paediatric vascular access (IV/IO/umbilical), and paediatric airway management. Emphasis is placed on practical tips and strategies to optimise care in both routine and high-anxiety clinical situations.
