Abstract submissions now open

ACEM invites emergency medicine professionals to submit an abstract to be considered for presentation at ASM 26. To be selected to present, you are required to submit an abstract online via the Abstract submissions page. All abstracts must be submitted electronically. Hard copy submissions will not be accepted.

Coast to Coast – Care and Connect

Our theme Care and Connect looks to explore the central importance of expert emergency care knowledge and its integration when people are cared for within connected systems. From spartan desert communities to state‑of‑the‑art metropolitan trauma centres, this theme invites speakers to explore how high‑quality clinical care is delivered across vast geographies while remaining deeply connected to the communities we serve.

Presentations should examine the delivery of equitable, evidence‑based emergency care in increasingly complex environments, with a focus on improving patient and community outcomes. Topic areas might include extremes of age (paediatric, teen or ageing populations), complex psychosocial trauma, mental health, cultural and social determinants of health, communication and human factors. A strong emphasis on regional, rural, and remote practice is encouraged, to highlight innovation, adaptability, and collaboration where resources and access are often limited.

Speakers are also invited to reflect on personal experiences: working in different regions, how teams are built and sustained, the practical realities of self‑care in the emergency medicine setting.

Submitting an abstract is a valuable opportunity to share your work, contribute to the emergency medicine conversation, and connect with peers from across the profession.

Abstract submissions close 1 July 2026. Abstracts received after this closure date will not be accepted.

Before submitting your abstract, please ensure you read the submission guidelines carefully. All required information is included within the guidelines.

Submit your abstract for ASM 26 and be part of shaping the future of emergency care.
