Overview
This comprehensive full-day workshop focuses on the recognition and management of critical toxicology presentations in both rural and urban emergency settings. Delivered by experienced Clinical Toxicologists and Emergency Physicians, the course combines high-yield tutorials based on the Toxicology Handbook with interactive “Meet the Experts” case discussions. Participants will also take part in multidisciplinary simulation scenarios with facilitated debriefs, designed to build confidence in managing complex and high-risk poisoning cases. While primarily adult-focused, the workshop is also relevant to clinicians caring for adolescents presenting with self-poisoning.
The course is led by Clinical Toxicologists and Emergency Physicians who work closely with the WA Poisons Information Centre and are authors of the Toxicology Handbook.
