Overview
Building on the success of the 2025 workshop, this interactive half-day session takes a practical deep dive into how emergency clinicians can effectively use existing data for quality improvement and research. Participants will explore the fundamentals of ED data, including classification and summarisation, before tackling the real-world challenges of extracting and linking datasets. Guided by experienced faculty, attendees will be introduced to a simple, practical checklist for data extraction and linkage, and will apply these steps in hands-on exercises. Participants are encouraged to bring their own de-identified datasets to work with, creating a highly relevant and applied learning experience.
