Juan Carlos Ascencio-Lane

Juan Carlos was born in Mexico but grew up in Ireland and completed Med School there. After doing his internship in Ireland, he moved to New Zealand and worked in various regions before settling in Tasmania. He continued his affiliation with rural and regional medicine by taking over EMET and bringing emergency medicine to those areas that needed support. He is passionate about education and loves working with other colleges and ACEM to improve emergency medicine.
Outside of work, his life is busy with his 4 kids and enjoys swimming in the Tassie seas.
