Dr. Sakita completed his undegraduate medical studies at Kilimanjaro Christian Medical University College (KCMUCo) in 2012. He later joined Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC), a tertiary hospital as a general practitioner at the Casualty where he was inspired to pursue for a postgraduate training in Emergency medicine at Muhimbili University in Dar es Salaam where he graduated in 2017 and became the first and only Emergency physician in Kilimanjaro region, Northern Tanzania.
He currently works as a clinician, researcher and senior lecturer in the department of Emergency Medicine at KCMC/KCMUCo. He is the director of residency program in Emergency Medicine which started 2023 as the second EM residency program in the country. His research interests span from burden of NCDs, Trauma, medical education and paediatrics at the ED of KCMC.
