David Monks is an Emergency and Retrieval Physician who is currently based in the Northern Territory, working in Royal Darwin Hospital ED and with Careflight NT.
Prior to this had been working for Sydney HEMs and in the Alfred Hospital. He is passionate about trauma care and improving all aspects of the patient’s journey. He is currently on the Trauma Emergency Medicine Network Committee. He is a member of the ANZ Trauma Society and a ETM instructor.
He has previously conducted research into massive transfusion in trauma. His current area of interest is into the use of regional anaesthesia in the Pre-Hospital and Emergency Department environment to further improve patient care.
