Barrie Field

Barrie Field is an Emergency Physician who works on the Sunshine Coast, QLD. He is DEMT, Educator and passionate advocate for those presenting in crisis to the Emergency Department in mental Health crisis. He sits on the ACEM MHWG, is the QLD Faculty Mental Health Lead and sits on the QLD Government Better Care Together Mental Health Strategy group. As the son of a Child Psychiatrist, he grew up surrounded by Freud, only to run towards the excitement and risk of the Emergency Department. He now spends his time educating and advocating to try and bridge these 2 worlds.
